BaileyHoffmannCurcio’s work is guided by the principles of partnership and sustainability; we are not predominantly driven by short-term gains. We are genuinely committed to understanding and respecting the needs and wishes of the people or companies we work for and with. We know that this approach pays off over time - even if it occasionally means (temporary) sacrifice.

We are a search firm; in order to fill vacancies we are mandated to work on, we use our network for recommendations, scan the whole market and pro-actively contact target individuals, whether they are known to us or not. We use these search methods irrespective of the search form agreed with our clients: contingency (success-based only) or retained (with a financial guarantee from the client). Where relevant, BaileyHoffmannCurcio also offers an interim service provision via our network of professional interim managers and consulting clients.

The commitment a retained search offers allows us to dedicate all the resources necessary to conduct a structured search including detailed market mapping. The urgency for filling a role, how central it is for the business, the difficulty to find the right candidate for a vacancy and confidentiality may all contribute to opting for a retained search. The methods applied are the same in principle when we work on a success-basis and our clients receive a genuine search service without having to provide an upfront financial commitment. However, as we carry the whole project risk, the time invested in a search may be less compared to a retained search as our efforts have to be balanced against: the probability of success and commitments to parallel searches.

Our strong specialisation combined with our more flexible approach (compared to classic search firms) also allows us to work in a more candidate-centric manner with chosen individuals. Within our core markets - and occasionally beyond - we facilitate introductions for senior individuals or technical specialists at firms of interest to them, provided we see a potential fit. This has turned out to be a surprisingly successful method of moving talent and clients have often commented that our targeted introduction gives them a very valuable insight into the market, even if they are not always able to offer suitable openings.
