Tom, Manuel and Alex worked together at a previous niche search firm where, jointly, they built a highly successful consulting team focusing on the Professional Services market. These proved to be seminal years for the firm, as it was during this time that the Founding Partners earned each other’s respect for their relative style and approach to many things in life, not least their approach to business and headhunting. This led to the creation of a partnership, to relay the shared affinity and outlook to their search approach.

Recruiting for the consulting market offers up some perennial problems such as finding professionals with a combination of deep technical knowledge and developed commercial acumen. Overcoming these challenges has had a major influence in the methodologies used today, whether it be recruiting for a Consultancy firm or an in-house group in a large multinational.
The Partners share an unpretentious approach to search, where they measure success on continued reputation and client/candidate testimonies, rather than exclusively on sales targets. Manuel Hoffmann
Partner
Manuel is a German national who has lived
mostly in the UK since 1998.
He started his academic education at RWTH Aachen in Germany and later obtained a degree in European Studies from London South Bank University in 2002.
After finalising his studies, Manuel started his professional career with a German boutique Search firm, specialising in moving engineers into strategy and management consulting firms.
In 2005 he joined a UK Search firm where he utilised his existing knowledge of the consultancy firms to focus on Risk Management, and was instrumental in the development of their German office and overall presence in that region.
In 2009 Manuel decided to start his own firm, which lead to the conception of BaileyHoffmannCurcio in 2010.
Manuel lives in Brighton with his wife and two children.
Alex Curcio
Partner
Alex combines six years experience as an international tax professional for Ernst & Young in London, with an in-depth knowledge of the tax recruitment market.
He first made the transition from tax to recruitment in 2003 and has since been responsible for growing and leading specific tax recruitment teams within two leading search firms. During this time, he worked alongside both Tom and Manuel for three years.
Alex is particularly well know within the Indirect Tax and Transfer Pricing markets where he has completed a number of senior assignments across many locations including the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany and Belgium.
Alex is a UK Citizen, born to Italian parents in Argentina, although he lived much of his childhood in Uruguay. He now lives in Brighton with his wife and baby daughter.
Alex speaks English and Spanish fluently and has studied Italian.
Thomas Bailey
Partner
Tom has ten years of direct search experience, and for the past 6 years has had specific focus on hiring across the Financial Risk Management community, on an international basis.
Between 2005 and 2009, Tom worked for a niche Risk Management recruitment firm where he built the Professional Services team from a Greenfield position to a successful group of 10 consultants across the firm. Tom also managed the broader holistic risk management team in the UK head office; the team of 20 consultants operated across Risk Management functions including Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, Commerce & Industry, Energy and Professional Services.
Tom's clear expertise is in search activities at Partner and Leadership level appointments within the Risk Management market.
Tom read Applied Science at Roehampton, is married with a baby daughter and lives on the outskirts of Brighton, Sussex. Outside of work Tom enjoys spending time with his family out in the local countryside, playing sports and also a long held passion for restoration for vintage Volkswagens.
